John Bevis is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts of Virginia, including the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The firm practices primarily in the area of bankruptcy law* and defense of criminal cases and serious traffic matters, including reckless driving and DWI/DUI. John is an experienced and dedicated criminal and traffic defense practitioner, and has defended hundreds of DWI/DUI cases in the Virginia Courts for over 20 years.

In addition to our practice focus on Bankruptcy*, Criminal Defense, and Serious Traffic Matters, we also represent clients in matters of general litigation, contracts, real estate, and business matters.

John is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association, the Virginia College of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and participates as a member of the bankruptcy and criminal law practice sections of the Virginia Bar. He devotes considerable time to pro bono activities for Legal Services of Northern Virginia and to Opportunities, Alternatives, and Resources, a community non-profit organization that, in connection with the Fairfax County Courts, administers a wide variety of community service programs and educational services for ex-offenders and their families.
